Liquid partners with FoodCycle for Food Invention Challenges
International integrated communications agency, Liquid, is proud to announce its new partnership with leading food charity, FoodCycle for their Food Invention Challenges. The initiative – which is a Ready, Steady, Cook! inspired challenge – tasks teams to create delicious meals from surplus food, using teamwork and creativity.
Liquid’s state-of-the-art cookery school and demonstration kitchen is being used to host the events where corporate teams have two hours to turn their ingredients into tasty meals, that will then be given to people in the community. The unique teambuilding challenges have been created to help raise money for FoodCycle’s community meals, which run in over 90 locations across the UK. In 2023, FoodCycle saved more than 239 tonnes of food from going to waste, transforming the ingredients into nutritious community meals for those experiencing food poverty and loneliness.
With Kitchen by Liquid serving as the venue for this exciting series of events, it’s an initiative that Liquid is proud to support and looks forward to helping more community projects in the future – especially as it celebrates its 20th anniversary and 20 acts of kindness campaign.
COO and Chef Director at Liquid, David Colcombe, said: “We are thrilled that Liquid is supporting FoodCycle’s Food Invention Challenges at our Kitchen by Liquid headquarters. This comes as an incredible addition to the list of organisations that have used our facilities for great initiatives.”
“With the cost of living on the rise and the need for more conversations surrounding food sustainability, our team is more than proud to support this ongoing initiative to help feed those who are less fortunate and lend a comfortable space to hold the series of events.”
FoodCycle, said: “We’re delighted that we can run our Food Invention Challenges at Liquid Kitchen and we’re looking forward to local teams taking on the challenge as well as our ongoing partnership with Liquid.”
