Liquid crowned PRCA Workplace Champion 2020
Liquid was today named winner of the Public Relations and Communications Association’s (PRCA) Workplace Champions award 2020.
The awards celebrate the “leading places to work, live and thrive in the PR industry”. Liquid was one of four finalists in the Medium Agency category and was honoured for its approach to creating a supportive, collaborative working environment.
Liquid believes the key to creating a happy, thriving workplace lies in valuing our team, creating opportunities for growth and development, and maintaining positive client relationships. The judges also loved our clear strategic, long-term view to our workplace.
Elisabeth Lewis-Jones, Liquid CEO, said: “Great teamwork is essential for all successful businesses and that can only be achieved by creating the right work environment for all staff. The value of teams has never been more important than in the current Covid-19 crisis and it is so important that we all take the time to look out for each other. We can all play our part in being workplace champions each and every day.”
Liquid was named “Workplace Champion” based on our commitment to:
1. Staff welfare
We invest in our people. Each Liquidite has a personalised CDP plan, we have supported sabbaticals to help people develop their skills, and our new Birmingham office has been designed to feel like a home from home. During these challenging times too, Liquidites have come together whilst working remotely to ensure we’re continuing to do great work, supporting our clients, and looking after each other.
2. Account management
We give our team the chance to work on a whole host of accounts that match their personalities, skillsets and interests. Our team members also have the chance to support on pro bono accounts including Les Bourgs Hospice, the Cyrille Regis Legacy Trust and Whitley Fund for Nature.
3. Recruitment and retention
We work hard to employ the right people in the right roles. Not only that, but we also offer work placements, internships, and our two-year graduate scheme Source – all of which are paid positions – to give people from all backgrounds an opportunity to experience life in a PR consultancy.
4. Business practices
We treat each other, our work and our clients with respect. This is one of our key values, so our two-week induction process includes an introduction to the PRCA Code of Conduct and ethics sessions. For our food division, we source local ingredients from sustainable farms, we have a bike-to-work scheme and actively encourage the use of public transport.
Well done, team Liquid!
