Introducing Kitchen by Liquid
Waterloo Street boasts some of Birmingham’s best restaurants and bars, but we’ll let you in on a secret…
It’s also home to another kitchen that is very special to us – introducing Kitchen by Liquid! Our state-of-the-art demonstration kitchen is where we do our very best work – they do say that the kitchen is the heart of the home – and we’re now officially opening our doors to help others do the same.
Since its completion in 2019, the unique space has enabled us to make an increasing impact on the food and drink industry by whipping up award-winning content for our ever-increasing roster of clients.
From masterminding the lockdown banana bread boom with a creative social media campaign to creating a bespoke digital Christmas cookbook for international food producers, our food team has gone from strength to strength under the watchful and supportive eye of our COO and Chef Director, David Colcombe.
Lovingly referred to as ‘Chef’ by the team…and the rest of Birmingham, David ensures whatever leaves the kitchen is perfect – a mindset he hasn’t forgotten from running a 2 AA restaurant in the centre of Birmingham for over 10 years!
While the recent appointment of full-time development chef, Olivier Briault, has further cemented our credentials as a ‘foodie’ agency, bringing his award-winning French patisserie and recipe creation skills to the kitchen and becoming everyone’s favourite thanks to a freshly prepared breakfast each day.
But after keeping the kitchen to ourselves for long enough, we are thrilled to announce the launch of ‘Kitchen by Liquid’ – a hireable kitchen studio and events space in the heart of Birmingham.
The Space
Our 760 sq ft kitchen provides a unique content creation space ideal for food and drink photography, videography, recipe development, cookery classes, demonstrations and events.
The modern, yet homely studio features a fully equipped demonstration kitchen, two large islands, large south-facing windows, an additional prep kitchen space, breakout areas with seating and a separate board room with a dining table seating up to 10.
Designed for filming recipe videos to camera with ease, the central island has a built-in induction hob, retractable extractor fan and plenty of surrounding counterspace, while the large shelf behind can be dressed by the food team, using a range of in-house props or by sourcing specialist items.
The kitchen also boasts the latest technology and equipment including smart ovens, stand mixers and sous vide water baths – enough to rival the Michelin starred restaurant next door!
Oui Chef!
Speaking of the new business offering, David Colcombe said: “The launch of Kitchen by Liquid is a really exciting development for the whole team, allowing us to grow our expertise in quality content creation for our food and drink clients.
“We’re in the unique position to offer a professional standard, fully equipped kitchen for hire in the heart of Birmingham and are looking forward to seeing how we can use it to further expand our offer and support further brands, companies, organisations, chefs and individuals.”
So, we’re opening the virtual doors to our shiny new website and social channels and our physical doors to you! We’d love to have you in for a cup of tea (or glass of wine), the grand tour and a chat about how you might be able to make the most of this new and exciting space!
