Our ESG offering: How Liquid could help your business
Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) has become an increasingly important concept for businesses. It allows them to demonstrate their commitment to responsible practices and it’s something that we are very passionate about here at Liquid.
Since launching our own ESG division in 2021, we have been successfully helping our clients to communicate their ESG messages across a number of different sectors including construction, sport and the food industry.
We spoke to some of these clients – the Copper Sustainability Partnership (CuSP), the Cyrille Regis Legacy Trust and Eric Lyons Ltd – about why ESG is important to them and how we have helped their journey.
Why is ESG important for businesses to consider?
ESG regulations are more than just a box ticking exercise – they work to deliver long-term sustainable value for clients, the economy and society. Communicating business progress will improve your reputation and build trust with stakeholders, which in turn can lead to increased profitability, long-term market success and customer trust.
The Copper Sustainability Partnership (CuSP)
Since 2020, we have been working with CuSP to communicate the environmental credentials of copper in the built environment and how it can be used to improve the sustainability of the construction industry.
In this industry, greenwashing is very common when it comes to manufacturers selling the sustainability of their products, with many claiming that their products are 100% recycled when this is not the case. Our work involves the careful adaptation of CuSP’s messaging in written communications, to ensure we subtly challenge this greenwashing and don’t fall into the trap ourselves.
Cyrille Regis Legacy Trust
We work to guide and support local charity, the Cyrille Regis Legacy Trust, sharing stories of the young people the charity supports and the impact it has on their lives and local communities.
As a business, we’re passionate about supporting good causes and making a difference in our community. A solid foundation of our work with the Cyrille Regis Legacy Trust is our expertise in understanding the importance of governance in the charity sector. Good governance enables a charity to be effective in achieving its purpose, bringing social benefits to the community it operates in, so we work hard to ensure that the Cyrille Regis Legacy Trust’s communications are transparent, and integrity sits at the forefront.
Eric Lyons Ltd
Local butcher, Eric Lyons Ltd, prioritises provenance, sustainability and the environment in its messaging.
The business called on us to support with its in-house expertise, providing specialist advice and support through the creation of a strategy that effectively communicates its ESG values. Our values are very much aligned with Eric Lyons Ltd.’s, so we have an in-depth understanding of the key elements of their messaging – with our in-house chefs prioritising sustainability and provenance through the reduction of food waste, sourcing local ingredients and growing ingredients in our development kitchen.
Through our genuine understanding of and passion towards food sustainability, we’re able to ensure that Eric Lyons Ltd.’s messaging is authentic and truly represents the work they do in this area of the food industry.
