International Week of Happiness at Work: Our favourite things about working at Liquid
What makes you happy at work? Benefitting from flexible working hours? Seeing you’re making a difference in the world? A cup of tea at 2pm?
International Week of Happiness at Work, taking place between 19 and 25 September 2022, celebrates and champions workplace wellbeing, encouraging people to exchange experiences and share tips for increased happiness at work.
Whether you’re in the office or logging on from home, feeling happy at work is just as essential for a joyful life as Yorkshire puddings are to a good Sunday dinner. Maintaining happiness at work also makes us more productive, decreases workplace absences, and increases creativity.
However, according to Indeed’s Work Happiness Score, only 27% of Brits report being happy at work most of the time. The same study also showed that the leading causes of happiness in work were feeling energised, a sense of belonging, and purpose – highlighting the importance of environmental, social, and governance practices in the workplace.
Here at Liquid, we believe in putting people first and ensuring our Liquidites are happy, so having a positive culture and work environment is one of our top priorities. We’re joining businesses around the world in celebrating International Week of Happiness at Work and, to celebrate, we’ve revealed some of the reasons why our team love working at Liquid.
Leah, Senior Account Executive, said: “Our company culture is great – everyone gets on so well and there’s a great atmosphere in the office. We also have lots of staff perks, like having breakfast in the office and getting your birthday off, which really makes a difference and is such a nice touch.”
Chloe, Senior Account Director, said: “’I love taste testing kitchen creations from Olivier, our Development Chef – pastry is his forte and we’re very lucky to always have yummy treats in the office! There is also so much opportunity for development and growth at Liquid and there’s always something exciting around the corner.”
Hannah, Senior Account Executive, said: “Everyone is really friendly and approachable, always willing to help if you need it. We also communicate effectively and honestly – whether that be to our clients or within our team – and have a great variety of clients across sectors, so no two days are ever the same.”
Georgia, TikTok Executive, said: “I love that everyone is super open to ideas that might seem a bit crazy (which are often the best ones) and the office has lots of fun spaces to be creative. I also love that the team is really supportive, no good work goes unnoticed here and somebody will always congratulate your wins.”
Latishia, Junior Social Media Executive, said: “I love that we do weekly yoga to encourage a healthy mental state and our breakfast in the mornings encourages healthy eating. We also have a big focus on sustainability, right down to the basics like having new recycling bins which encourage us to recycle in the right way.”
