Liquid Loves…
On the most romantic day of the year, we’re taking the opportunity to spread a little Valentine’s Day love and share some of our favourite marketing campaigns.
From projects we’ve worked on to those we’ve admired from afar, here are some of the PR and social media Liquid Loves…
British Transplant Games
Running for over 40 years, the British Transplant Games is a celebration of life. Transplant survivors, including children as young as five, take part in the Games with many athletes going on to compete in the World Transplant Games. We’re so proud to have worked with the British Transplant Games for the last three years, and to have been awarded CIPR and PRCA Awards for this project.
WWF
We’re a team of animal lovers as our work with Whitley Fund for Nature shows, so we just had to include a powerful campaign from WWF. Its “Population by Pixel” campaign was striking, bold, and really made people think. The series of four posers include a pixel for every living animal in a certain species. The blurrier the image, the fewer animals left. Thankfully since the campaign launched in 2008 the numbers in each population are up, but this is still a sobering, powerful campaign.
Oreo
Back in 2013, the Super bowl – one of the biggest TV events in the world – was plunged into darkness when the power went out. In possibly the best reactive social media campaign ever, Oreo reminded social media followers that “You can still dunk in the dark”. The reactive Tweet was shared more than 10,000 times and is still one of the most talked about social media posts. Bravo, Oreo!
Maple from Canada UK
In February 2020, we brought a Canadian maple forest to the Canadian High Commission in London for a Pancake Day event with our client, Maple from Canada UK. Press and influencers attended the event where there were pancake demonstrations from Georgina Hayden and Manon Lagrève, a chance to sample different maple products like maple vinegar and maple spread, as well as a maple taffy stand.
Cadbury and Age UK
At the end of 2019, Cadbury removed all of the words from its famous purple packaging. Teaming up with Age UK for the “Donate Your Words” campaign, the emotive adverts, social media collaborations and striking packaging was designed to raise awareness of loneliness amongst older people. Powerful and memorable, this cross-channel campaign certainly did its job and got people talking. This is close to our hearts following our work with Ageing Better in Birmingham.
Birmingham City Council
Liquid’s Birmingham office is full of strong, proud women so we jumped at the chance to work with Birmingham City Council on a book celebrating local women. ‘Once Upon a Time in Birmingham: Women Who Dared to Dream’ tells the stories of fearless females from past and present. We placed a giant replica of the book in Birmingham’s “Floozie in the Jacuzzi” statue, and within hours the stunt was being talked about across the city and on social media.
These are just some of the campaigns Liquid Loves…
Happy Valentine’s Day!
