Liquid launches online food festival for Maple from Canada’s latest cookbook
Earlier this year, we created a brand-new cookbook for our client Maple from Canada, centred around our favourite ingredient – pure Canadian maple syrup!
The Liquid team managed the creative process from start to finish, including developing 50 new recipes, styling and shooting the photography from our kitchen, writing the copy and designing the layout.
To launch the book, ‘Cooking with maple, naturally’, we held a Maple from Canada virtual food festival with the help of our chef ambassadors.
The occasion, which took place on Maple from Canada’s social media channels, saw some of the UK’s leading chefs showcase a selection of the new recipes in a series of cook-along videos and demonstrations.
Following a fantastic year of Canadian maple exports in 2019 and the new cookbook, Liquid developed the online food festival to mark a successful year, celebrate the joy of cooking in your own kitchen or garden with family and of course, encourage digital downloads of the new cookbook.
Liquid organised cooking demos to take place throughout the day, hosted by Great British Bake Off Star Manon Lagréve, BBQ duo Samantha Evans and Shauna Guinn from Hang Fire Southern Kitchen, award-winning chocolatier William Curley, chef and member of the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts James Golding and author and food stylist Georgina Hayden.
Liquid used the activity to drive festival at-homers to download the free recipe book Cooking with maple, naturally from the Maple from Canada website and engage with social media posts and video content.
The Liquid team is extremely proud of the results from the launch. In just three days Liquid secured over 500 downloads of the cookbook and on the day of the event had a 461% increase in Instagram impressions, 80% increase in Instagram interactions and a 55% increase in engagement on Maple from Canada’s Instagram account.
The premium quality cookbook contains fifty dishes, split into five chapters; morning maple, on the go maple, one-pot maple magic, the big maple weekend, and just maple desserts.
Each recipe illustrates just how versatile this natural ingredient is and will inspire home cooks across the UK. There is still time to grab your free digital copy here.
