Account Manager
We are looking for a creative and passionate PR Account Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring client delivery and account management. Working to the highest standard you will be hands on, responsive and proactive. You will have an understanding of client budgets, be able to lead virtual and in-person meetings and know how to evaluate and report on work.
Passionate about the media, you’ll relish every opportunity and piece of coverage knowing how to place stories, how to talk to journalists and angles to explore. You’ll be just at home talking to broadcast as well as a range of printed consumer and trade titles.
You will play an integral role in developing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating client’s communications strategies.
As a key member of the team, you will supervise and guide the work of Account Executives and interns, providing them with an opportunity to learn and progress. You in turn, will also receive training and you’ll be keen to progress and develop your skills.
This role will report into our Head of PR.
Your responsibilities:
- Develop strategies and PR plans to grow brand awareness of a variety of clients (b2b and consumer)
- Help create and manage communications strategies and deliver key brand objectives
- Project manage campaigns where relevant
- Motivate team members
- Excellent productive and proactive relationships with journalists. Engaging on relevant stories and topics to leverage coverage opportunities for a broad variety of Liquid’s clients
- Management of day-to-day running of a press-office team
- Push Liquid and our clients forward with new ways of thinking and working – ensuring business objectives are met
- Client relationship management
- Working closely with the social media and digital team to help offer direction on client objectives
- Track client KPI’s and ensure targets are hit
- Oversee the creation and completion of client reports and presentations
- Budget and time management
The ideal candidate will have:
- Four years of industry experience
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
- A keen eye for detail
- Excellent media knowledge and contacts
- An extensive range of PR skills
- Experience of working in a client-facing role and ability to confidently lead meetings (internal and external)
- Team skills, working alongside junior and senior team members
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including copy-editing)
- Ability to problem solve
- Project management skills
- Business development experience (generating leads, preparing proposals and pitching)
Liquid works across the UK, Australia, the USA, Canada, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and the Benelux Countries. Language skills are preferable but not a requirement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or related field (desirable but not essential)

Salary range is £30,000-£32,000 depending on experience.
